A last minute elopement at edinburgh royal botanic gardens

The lovely pair Leah and Michael chose to have an intimate last minute elopement in Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Gardens.

Leah first got in touch with me 6 weeks before their wedding date, her parents and sister were coming over from America, so she wanted to use this opportunity to get married while they were here! Miraculosly, the pair managed to pull the whole wedding together in this time and honestly it was the most beautiful day. They hired Scotland Elopement planner Coorie, from my recommendation, they worked with them and helped them to plan the day and find suppliers. This day was the perfect example of last-minute elopement and why, with the right suppliers, you can pull together your dream elopement in no time.

The couple chose to get ready and the gorgeous Tigerlily Hotel. Leah got ready with the girls, while Michael was in another room with the guys, before everyone headed over to the Royal Botanic Gardens for the ceremony.  They chose to get married outside in gardens among trees. The ceremony itself was a beautiful affair carried about by the lovely Tim the celebrant. The couple chose to have each of their family members stand and talk about what makes a marriage work for them. Straight after the ceremony, Leah & Michael had their first dance, with their song played by Stuart Mclean. I loved this untraditional approach; it made the day so unique to them.

We then hit some of my favourite spots in Edinburgh for their couple pictures and got driven around in an incredible vintage car. Before heading to Mano for their cake cut and wedding breakfast.

Leah and Michael here are your previews I hope you love them!
