A Glencoe elopement

I love photographing Scotland elopments

Oh Glencoe, one of the most breath taking places I’ve had the pleasure to visit and this Glencoe elopement was nothing short of that.

The venue

Gary and Corinne got ready together at Suie Hunting Lodge Hotel, a gorgeous little boutique hotel on the edge of the Loch Lomond national park. With beautifully decorated, light rooms and a huge roll top bath, this was the perfect place to relax together before their Glencoe elopement and to get a tipple in the bar downstairs!

The suppliers

Corinne chose to wear a Flossy & Dossy dress; a local Glasgow bridal designer. The dress had a gorgeous floaty skirt to give her free movement which she then paired with boots, ready for the adventure. Her flower crown and bouquet was created for her by the amazing dried florist Fokey Dokey. The tartan blanket she brought along for warmth, was also local, from the Edinburgh based Tartan blanket company.

On the day

We set off from there, we had done plenty of planning and researching together beforehand so we had a list of places to adventure. I had spent the day before exploring them and getting the lay of the land. First stop was the incredible Glencoe Lochan, a still loch surrounded by mountains which reflect into it so beautifully. From there we headed to the famous site where Hagrid’s hut in Harry Potter was filmed. It’s so easy to see why they chose this location, with the backdrop of huge mountains and tree’s, although the hike up there was a killer, ahahha.

Graced with the most glorious sunset, we carried on shooting into blue hour and the moon made an appearance. On our way towards Glen Etive we spotted a group of deer, luckily enough a friendly little one wandered over to us to be a part of the images. Have a scroll and see how wonderful eloping in Glencoe can be…

If you’re thinking of having a Glencoe elopement, I’d love to hear all about it.
