Manchester Elopement

Beth and Matt had a super low key Manchester elopement with eighteen of their closest friends and family at Manchester Registry Office. As a pair they had decided a big white wedding wasn’t for them, but had been together for many years and wanted to make it offical and legally get married. They opted for my shortest elopement package, (find out more about my Manchester elopement packages here) but in that time we covered their pre-wedding drinks, couple pictures, Manchester Registry Office ceremony, family formals and even a confetti shot. Their honeymoon was the most important thing to them so they kept their wedding day low budget and this elopement is a perfect example of how you can have a gorgeous, personal day on a budget.

King Street Townhouse

Beth and Matt had booked a room in King Street Townhouse for two nights, before and after the wedding. Breaking tradition, they chose to stay and get ready together at King Street Townhouse. This is where I came to meet them. They opted not to have any groom or bride prep covering, so I met them in the bar where we got a few shots of them having a quick drink and around the gorgeous lobby.

Beth wore a super modern, short dress from Reformation which she paired with a simple bouquet of gypsophila from Giraffe Flowers. And Emily Miller did such a gorgeous job of her hair and make up.

Couple pictures at Manchester Art Gallery and Central Library

Unlike most wedding days, this pair chose to have their couple pictures before their ceremony at Manchester Registry Office because this best fit in with their day. After the ceremony they wanted to spend time with their guests and go for a meal, so they chose to break traditions and schedule the day in a way that worked for them.

From King Street Townhouse, we went on to Manchester Art gallery as the weather was looking a little wet. Luckily the rain didn’t last long and we got some cute pitcures in the gallery. After the weather cleared up we went around Central Library and St Peters Square, before heading on to Gusto to meet their guests and have a little pre-ceremony drinks reception.

In Gusto, the couple’s guests were already waiting with drinks to welcome the pair. There they had an hour of drinking and chatting. While I captured some candids of them spending time with their loved ones before the Manchester Registry Office ceremony.

Beth really wanted to get family shots in front of St Mary’s RC Church so we headed over there only to find out they had a service on! Luckily, a lovely lady came out and said we were more than welcome to take pictures there as long as we were very quiet. Cue me trying to organsie everyone in silence with a lot of pointing, which was honeslty hilarious. We then set up a confetti shot, which was cute, but we didn’t realise how loud the canons would be! Me and Beth heard the bang, looked at each other, and made a run for it.

Once we were away from the blast zone, we all headed on to Manchester Registry Office, where they had a short but very sweet ceremony with their grandmas as witnesses.

It was a really cute way to spend the day, cute family moments, chilled drinks, and some gorgeous pictures. Beth & Matt really made the most of their Manchester elopement.
